Mission Impossible III hits DVD on single and double disc editions

Paramount Home Entertainment has announced the Tom Cruise summer blockbuster Mission Impossible III will arrive on DVD in both single and double disc editions on Oct. 30th. The single disc edition has a suggested retail price of $19.99 and the double disc edition will have a suggested retail price of $24.99. Along with Cruise, the film stars Ving Rhames, Keri Russell, and Philip Seymour Hoffman. The two-disc collector's edition of the film will have several special features that fans of the film will love including audio commentary with Cruise and and director J.J. Abrams, five deleted scenes, four documentaries (“The Making of the Mission,” “Mission Action: Inside the Action Unit,” “Visualizing the Mission” and “Scoring the Mission.”), theatrical trailers and hidden Easter Eggs. The single-disc version will include the commentary, “The Making of the Mission” documentary and deleted scenes. Paramount has also announced plans to release HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc versions of the film with a 1080 high-definition picture and 5.1 Dolby Digital Plus soundtracks. The HD DVD release will include the same features as the DVD release in addition to an “enhanced commentary” with Cruise and Abrams.
