F.B.I. Agent Johnny Utah and the Ex-Presidents return for one more surf when Point Break Special Edition rides the ultimate wave to Blu-ray Disc on July 1 from Fox Home Entertainment.
Starring Keanu Reeves (The Matrix) and Patrick Swayze (Dirty Dancing, Road House), Point Break is regarded as one of the touchstone action films of the early ‘90s, ushering in the age of extreme sports with its hard-edged depiction of surfing and skydiving and celebrating the adrenaline-junkie culture in a gritty and quintessentially quotable crime drama.
Directed by Kathryn Bigelow (Near Dark, Blue Steel), the film also stars Oscar-nominee Gary Busey (Best Actor, The Buddy Holly Story, 1979), John C. McGinley (TV’s “Scrubs”) and Lori Petty (Tank Girl, In The Army Now), as well as a special cameo appearance by Anthony Kiedis of The Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The Point Break Special Edition Blu-ray Disc captures the nonstop action drama in full 1080p high definition and features the original bonus material including deleted scenes along with loads of featurettes documenting the making of the film’s most memorable high-octane moments.
