I LOVE Bugsy and I already have the first released DVD, region 2. Is this extended version going to make it to the European market, region 2 any time soon? I'm wondering the same thing about the 25th anniversary edition of Reds. I want them in region 2, darn it!

I did a quick glance through AmazonUK and didn't see any links for it. I am sure it will be out sooner or later.

While I appreciate your thoughtful review of Bugsy, I am compelled to correct several pieces of misinformation contained in your missive.

Both the extended editions of Black Hawk Down and The Patriot were both overseen and approved by their respective directors, as was Bugsy. Sony has never released an extended or director's cut without the participation and/or approval of the director. Ali, Stripes, The Replacement Killers and other upcoming extended titles all have followed that same tradition.

During the production of the above mentioned titles I oversaw the added value department of Sony Pictures and drove all of those projects.

Thanks again for the kind review.
