From Monsters and Critics.com DVD Reviews I’ve heard people say they love That ‘70s Show because it helped them remember the fun they had during that (for some) hazy decade. Set in the year 1976 at the beginning, not only were the styles and attitudes faithfully rendered, That ‘70s Show put into visual images much of the spirit and the changes that took place from 1976-1980. At the opening of Season 8, Eric (Topher Grace) has left home, and Kitty (Mary Jo Rupp) is making a tape for him with all the latest news. Jackie (Mila wants to make up with Hyde, but he discovers he has acquired an interesting souvenir from Vegas that might pose a problem. He has a wife. The social dynamics are changing yet again, as Hyde adjusts to being married, Kelso gets a job offer that interferes with his plans, and a new face joins the crowd. Hyde hires Randy to help at the record store, which Leo had effectively turned into a hippie haven. In a season of upheavals and clashes, would you ever expect to discover the man of Jackie’s dreams is Fez? Or would you believe that Kitty and Red plan to sell the house and move to Florida? That Donna might fall in love with someone who wasn’t Eric? And just who among all the gang has the skill to fix the broken Peter Frampton guitar? Things turn around, or change so quickly, and yet the group keeps on moving forward to the brink of a new decade. That ‘70s Show: Season 8, is presented on four discs in full frame format. There is a running time of 477 minutes and has both closed caption for the hearing impaired and English subtitles available. Each disc has special features.
